  • What is the Personalized Travel Planning Fee and is it refundable?
    A Personalized Travel Planning Fee is a fee charged for services which will include researching your trip, finding the best deals, providing proposals, booking your platinum getaway, staying with you from beginning to end, up until you return back home. All Personalized Travel Planning Fees are non-refundable however if you schedule a consultation and book the resort provided in your first proposal within 30 days with no revisions, the full travel fee paid will be applied to your final payment. If no consultation is schedule and/or revisions are needed, a $10 credit towards to your final payment. After 30 days of initial contact the fee is non-refundable, non-transferrable and the credit will not be applied.
  • I can walk into a local travel agency and receive as many quotes as I want for free, why do I need to pay this fee?"
    Local travel agency employees are paid per hour regardless if you book a vacation with them or not. We on the other hand are not. The research being conducted requires an extensive amount of time, effort and resources to provide a custom quote. By working with Platinum Getaways Travel Agency you are receiving a personalized experience, not just a quote. To us you aren't just a customer, we put our all into planning your vacation and seeing you through every step of the way until you get back home. If you were in destination and there was an issue, you can't call that local travel agency after business hours but with us you can.
  • If I conducted my own research and I have my dates and the resort/hotel information already do I still have to pay the Personalized Travel Planning Fee?
    No. If you already conducted the research yourself and already know your dates and hotel/resort that you would like to book, your travel planning fee will be waived. Please contact us at travel@pgtagency.com for more information on how to book or schedule a consultation and we will collect the information from you to book.
  • Will my Personalized Travel Planning Fee ever be waived?
    Yes! As shown above, if you already have all of your booking information (dates and resort/hotel) you do not have to pay the travel planning fee. You can either contact us directly for information on how to book or schedule a consultation for us to gather the information from you. We will also be rolling out our Platinum VIP club which once becoming a member you will be entitled to receiving free quotes and other perks. Details coming soon.
  • When should I book my platinum getaway?
    You should book your platinum getaway as soon as you are sure of your travel dates. Traditionally during the busy periods (most holidays), we would advise you to book as early as possible. To obtain the lowest airfare your vacations should be booked within 14 days or more. Airfare is typically available 330 days prior to departure AND resort stays (land only) can be booked sometimes up to 2 years in advance so keep that in mind. We also advise if you are looking to be set up on a payment plan, START EARLY, the earlier you start the more time you'll have to pay your trip off, the more time you have to pay your trip off, the lesser your payments may be!
  • I found a cheaper rate on another website, do you price match?"
    Yes. If you find a cheaper rate than what was quoted for the same exact vacation package (same airline, same flight dates and times, same hotel/resort, same cruiseline, etc) you can simply let me know where you located this information and your request will be submitted to match the pricing you found. The review process can take 24-48 hours.
  • Can I book the travel online myself?
    You sure can, if you know exactly where you want to go and are ready to book your platinum getaway with no research needed, click on Book Travel and Book Your Getaway, this will take you directly to our booking engines.
  • Do I have to pay for my platinum getaway upfront or can I make payments?
    It depends on how far in advance you book your platinum getaway. If you book within 45 days of departure the entire amount is needed especially if you are traveling abroad. However if you book far enough in advance payments can definitely be made, we even have an option for an automatic payment schedule if needed. Some of the vendors we work with also offer a payment plan through Uplift, which will allow your trip to be fully funded through Uplift and you will be able to make payments directly to Uplife. This option is available contigent upon credit approval.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    You can purchase your platinum getaway with the following credit/debit cards.... Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Cash and Cash app is not accepted to book your getaway. The exception to using Cash app is to order their free Cash app debit card and to make your payment via the card provided. All payments must be authorized and made via the invoice which gives our company the proper approvals and terms and conditions to process your card.
  • I made a deposit for my platinum getaway but I need to change the credit card on file, what do I need to do?"
    Your invoice will allow you to add a new card whenever you are looking to make a payment. When the payment is authorized it will tell us the amount you are authorizing along with the last for numbers of the card so that we know which card to process. We do not store your credit/debit card information in our system. After each trip is paid in full all cards that were used for that trip will be deleted.
  • What types of documents are required to travel?
    For a domestic flight at check in a government issued ID is required. For international flights a passport and or visa will be needed. Be sure to check your travel documents as it will state what is required. If you currently have a passport and booking a international flight please be sure to check the expiration date and renew as soon as possible if it is set to expire. Some countries requires a 6 month validity after your getaway, and also require that you have empty pages in your book as they provide one stamp per page.
  • I need a expedited Passort and/or Visa can you help me with that too?
    Short answer is yes! Contact me and I will get you in touch with CIBT and help you save 40% off CIBT service fees. You will receive your passport in as little as 4-6 weeks. Covid- 19 Update: CIBTvisas is unable to offer non-renewal US Passport expedited services at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will resume processing other US Passport services as soon as we are able to do so. We anticipate a backlog of non-renewal passport service requests when expedited Passport processing resumes, so reserve your spot now.
  • The insurance is really high, do I really need it?"
    While the insurance is optional we do highly recommend you purchase the insurance especially now with Covid. Anything can happen so why not pay the extra few dollars now, instead of losing out on the entire trip cost later. Whether you are forced to cancel your trip, have a medical emergency while traveling, or your bag is stolen, travel protection can help provide you with a sense of security. While you may have some travel coverage through your personal health insurance, credit card, or other source, a third party provider (like us) can provide you with more extensive coverage and higher limits. If you for any reason still decide to decline the insurance, you will need to complete a Waiver of Insurance form, which protects the both of us.
  • At the time of purchase I decline the insurance but changed my mind, can I add it now?"
    Yes! While it is recommended to purchase at the time of placing a deposit so that your entire travel investment can be protected. if you have any pre-existing conditions you have a 14 day grace period to purchase insurance through Allianz. In most cases outside of the pre-existing conditions rules you generally can add insurance up to the night before your trip but please keep in mind you will not be eligible for the full benefits having travel insurance can provide. Trip cancellation/benefits would not apply if purchasing that late, however, benefits such as baggage loss/damage, baggage delay, travel delay and emergency medical can give you crucial protection for your trip
  • Regarding the travel insurance and you say can for any reason, what exactly do you mean and what does it cover?"

  • Do you have a referral program?
    Yes! We are so glad you asked. Our Platinum Referral Program is a new program that will allow you to earn up to 10% off your next booking (maximum amount of $150.00 off) for referring 5 individuals. In order to qualify for this reward your referral must inform us they were referred by you, book their vacation with us, and once they are paid in full your referral will automatically be added to your profile*. Once you reach 5 paid in full referrals you will be contacted by us and your discount will be applied to your next booking. *Referred customer MUST complete travel
